The next generation of the Nx software lineup is almost here with the upcoming release of Gen 6 Enterprise, set for the end of Q3 2024. This release marks Network Optix’s official launch into a cloud-based subscription (SaaS) offering, designed for unmatched efficiency and comprehensive video and data management across extensive networks. Gen 6 Enterprise brings several new admin and operator-centric features plus exclusive capabilities tailored for enterprise-scale operations.

New Organization Tier

Gen 6 Enterprise introduces a new hierarchical structure that streamlines the organization and control of systems, sites, and user permissions for simple system management.

  • Unified Site Organization: Allows for infinitely scalable systems by enabling the management of systems at the organization level.
  • Unified Notifications: View notifications from any system linked to your cloud account in the desktop client.
  • Unified User Management: Manage users across multiple sites, hives, and servers.

 

Nx AI Manager

The newest addition to the Nx Toolkit, Nx AI Manager is a universal model pipeline that optimizes any AI model to run on any accelerator with customizable pre- and post-processing configurations. It allows developers to easily configure and control their AI setups, ensuring optimal performance across their fleet of edge devices. With Nx AI Manager, developers can effortlessly enhance any video application with intelligence by simply uploading an AI model - no extra engineering required. Learn more here.

Nx Connect

The Nx Connect Subscription Management Portal is a comprehensive, cloud-based system designed to simplify SaaS multi-channel management. This intuitive system enables Nx resellers to oversee their channel partners and installers, manage software licenses, ensure appropriate billing, and enhance control over their profits - all within a secure, unified system. Nx Maps

Nx Maps, an intelligent GIS mapping tool, enhances any Nx solution with advanced geolocation data visualization. It allows users to globally visualize their systems, transforming users' ability to monitor and manage their IP devices - all through a simple, unified interface. More info coming soon...

Experience revolutionized admin control with Enhanced LDAP Integration for streamlined permissions management, new Temporary User Access controls, and Redesigned User Management, which introduces customized permissions for both groups and individuals. 

  • Enhanced LDAP Integration: Streamline user access management with an enhanced LDAP integration, eliminating the need for manual updates. Easily manage permissions for all company services in one place, ensuring quick and efficient onboarding of new employees.
  • Redesigned User Management: A reimagining of user management allows administrators to assign custom permissions for groups and individuals, enhancing flexibility and control. Notably, users can also belong to multiple groups.
  • Temporary User Access: Administrators can now create temporary users for time-limited access. Admins have full control, setting expiration times and link usage restrictions. Note: This feature is currently available for local users only, not cloud users.

  • Camera Hotspots: Extend your vision by layering camera hotspot icons over live video feeds. Hotspots allow you to quickly see a new location without the need to open a new layout or search for a camera.
  • Nx Cloud Bookmarks: Access critical insights anytime, anywhere, with Bookmarks - now accessible directly through Nx Cloud for enhanced remote responsiveness and scalability.

 

Improved User Experience

Navigate your video footage with ease using the New Look Calendar, for faster, more intuitive calendar-based searches, and stay connected with the option to route Emails via Nx Cloud.

  • Emails via Nx Cloud: Choose to route emails through the cloud with a new option in the email settings, providing an alternative to traditional SMTP routing. When sending emails, the media server will send API requests to the notifications service instead of using SMTP settings.
  • New Look Calendar: The latest in-client calendar iteration is revamped with improved navigation across years and months, making it easier to jump to specific hours. New buttons provide quick access to preset times like today, -1 hour, -24 hours, -7 days, and -30 days, further streamlining the user experience.
